For people who enjoy looking over numbers, here’s the deal. I’m thinking about devoting this site to blackjack, professional level play. I intend to offer information and answers to questions not available anywhere else, for free. Of course I’d like a donation here ‘n there, you decide if it’s worth it. For your own personal play. For example, it is obvious looking at the statistics of the game that it is impossible for players to recognize any meaningful patterns in the game, tho we all certainly think we do. I have written software that will analyze any players hand against any dealer upcard, under any count situation. My software will determine the correct player response for profitability. The only possible way to determine the correct play is to literally play millions of hands, not by going to the casino and trying a strategy. Any strategy how ever wrong it may be can result in winnings on a particular night. The result of such play is to set off on a wrong headed course that is not going to be profitable. The fact is, blackjack can be played for a profit. As long as the game has fairly soft rules, pays 3-2 on blackjack, double after split, split up to 4 hands,,, Surrender is helpful. A basic count is all that’s needed and to many experts surprise, I can prove that the true count and running count need not be considered. I know that may sound silly to many, but it is a fact and more profit can be derived from a simple running count than with the true count. The reason is simple, the true count is almost negated from play in many casinos, they use a template for the cut leaving too many cards out of play. The true count does make much more difference in what to expect in the coming cards, however, the running count pays better, because every deck will have pos counts, often times several counts, the running count matters because when the count goes pos or neg, it will soon return to zero, and this is only possible by unnaturally large numbers of small or large cards coming to rebalance the count. This to and fro swing offers an opportunity. It also keeps the game from being as boring. A couple things must also be considered in order to make the running count effective. One, the count only improves expectations when it is above a certain number. The correlation between the bet and the count also needs to maintain a certain relationship. In my program I have equated the bet to the count, a count of +6 results in a bet of 6 times the basic bet. It’s not that simple overall, but I need to get this site up and running and see if I can offer users a way to run my program and allow you guys some controls so you can verify things I’m saying, to verify your own suspicions about the game. Like 12 against 2. Players don’t like us hitting 12, but hey, the computer says hit it, you will lose less. Not after a night of play, after millions of hands. Changes in strategy due to count also might surprise many. Some things are never a good idea, splitting 10’s, even with very high counts against a 6, not the right move. But, if you have players at the table you want to run off, split the tens with the minimum bet a few times, double down on a soft 20 against a 6, that will label you as crazy, ruining the ‘run’ of the deck,
